Lisa Erickson

Lisa Erickson’s career spans 25 years in health, wellness, and food.  She currently is a writer and weekly food columnist for several newspapers and specialty magazines in western Wisconsin and Minnesota.  Previously, she owned Wildchow Catering and hosted the cooking segment of Ron Schara’s weekly TV program, “Minnesota Bound.”

Erickson has been a guest speaker for many organizations and businesses on the topic of healthy lifestyles, including KARE11 TV Sunrise; the Hazelden Foundation’s Women’s Health Conference; Pheasants Forever’s annual National Pheasant Fest; the Fergus Falls Area Outdoors Show; and the New Hope Jeremiah Project in Cape Town, South Africa, as well as many health/wellness fairs and food shows.

Erickson has been active in her local community’s health and wellness initiatives, and has been a member of and ambassador for the Osceola and St. Croix Falls Chambers of Commerce.  She has served as a volunteer lay pregnancy crisis counselor at Tri-County LifeCare Center (TLC) Options for several years.

More recently, after a 26-year hiatus, Erickson decided to return to college and finish her degree in journalism, with a minor in food science.  She attends UW-River Falls, where she also hosts a weekly radio public affairs-food show on WRFW, part of Wisconsin Public Radio.  Erickson and her husband, Mark, have been married for more than 25 years and have four children.
