Manufacturing is one of Wisconsin's leading industries and our technical colleges offer more than 150 associate degrees, technical diplomas, certificates and short term credentials.
From Advanced Manufacturing to Wood Technology, our students are educated in all areas of manufacturing, effectively meeting the needs of manufacturers across the state.
WTCS will be celebrating Manufacturing Month with several of our colleges hosting events throughout the state.

CVTCMECX: A Manufacturing Experience
10/6-3-6:30pm Experience the future of manufacturing with hands-on activities at Chippewa Valley Technical College's MECX: A Manufacturing Experience. Experiment with cutting-edge technology, explore our new, state-of-the-art welding and fabrication labs, take the kids on a scavenger hunt, and watch special demonstrations. Plus, local employers will be available to discuss your next steps to begin a rewarding, high-paying career in manufacturing.
Safety Day
10/14-7:15am-3:15pm Safety Day is a hands-on conference where you will learn from area experts about a wide range of safety and health-related topics to help reduce worksite incidents, stay in compliance with OSHA standards, and build your organization's safety culture. This event is designed for safety managers, human resource professionals, maintenance employees, front-line supervisors, and any employee interested in updating their safety skills and knowledge. Whether you are new to your role or a seasoned employee, Safety Day provides current information on the most relevant safety topics in today's industry, excellent networking opportunities, as well as practical experience in applying standards and concepts.

10/27-5pm-7:30pm LTC and the American Welding Society (AWS) Lakeshore Section invite students and parents to a welding career evening to:
- Meet & network with welding professionals.
- See and experience welding hands-on practices.

- PLUS, one attendee will win a $500 raffle LTC Scholarship* opportunity.
Welding Competition Scholarship. Join us for a special event-only welding competition. One winner will be awarded a $1,000 LTC Scholarship*.

Wood Technology Discovery Days
10/18 and 10/19- 8:15am-2pm Instructors, on October 18th or 19th, bring a group of your students to experience NTC’s state-of-the-art Wood Technology Center of Excellence during a two-hour event where students will be able to:
- Explore career opportunities in the forest products industry and learn about the incredible demand for graduates of wood programs
- Complete a hands-on project
- See a mechanical testing demonstration
- Tour the Wood Technology Center of Excellence
