Wisconsin Technical College Construction Trades Fundamentals Programs

The Construction Trades Fundamentals Pathway Certificate provides the needed knowledge and skills to start a career in the construction trades. This certificate provides basic knowledge about various construction trades as well as how to work safely in the construction trades. Students will learn safety and the proper use of construction materials and hand and power tools; how to interpret construction documents; the practice of wood frame layout and assembly; and to recognize plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.

  • This certificate can be completed in four months. All classes are scheduled in the fall term
  • With the addition of spring term classes, students also achieve the HVACR Installation Technician technical diploma.
