Mid-State Technical College is ramping up efforts to prepare students for careers in advanced emergency medical services with the return of its Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) program to the mix of available programs.
“In the past Mid-State has offered the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician program on an as-needed basis, but with the increasing demand for skilled AEMTs in our district, it was time to officially bring it back,” said Rick Anderson, Mid-State’s associate dean of Protective & Human Services. “The greater visibility of this opportunity we will help more people discover opportunities in advanced emergency medicine, which will also help us better meet the needs of employers in our communities.”
