Having attended a four-year university, I’d already had the traditional college experience. I left after three years without a degree, but with about $30,000 in debt. I ended up working at a commercial real estate brokerage for almost six years before learning that the state allows people to become licensed as land surveyors with a two-year degree and four years of experience, and I decided to go for it. I know that when I graduate from Madison College, I will be able to get a job doing exactly what I have learned in my classes.
