Dual Admission General Studies

I always thought college was out of reach for me and that I would never have the opportunity to go. However, that all changed after I found myself sitting at a table, homeschooling my children in the middle of a pandemic. I found light during that dark time in the form of a mailer I received that offered an opportunity for a technical education. The urging from my children to “GO, Mom…GO!” combined with the valuable ways that a technical education met my needs, led me to my decision to start my education at Gateway Technical College. A technical education offered me career-focused classes, flexibility in my schedule, career guidance, smaller class sizes and an affordable education. As a mother and later-in-life learner, these valuable attributes proved to be necessary to finally do what I had always dreamed of… GO to College!
