Legal Studies
When all my friends were planning to go away to college, I wanted to follow them so badly. However, I knew I needed to forge my own path. I chose to enroll in a technical college because I was eager to explore new opportunities and take a path that most individuals aren’t aware of. The ability to enroll in program classes in my first semester excited me. I was driven by the opportunity for a hands-on, real-life experience. Within my first semester at Lakeshore Technical College, I became President of the Paralegal Student Association. I was afraid being so new, but I did not let that stop me. I led our association with monthly meetings and hosted a donation drive for the Safe Harbor Domestic Abuse Shelter. Lakeshore Technical College has helped me realize that it is okay to be different and it is okay to choose your own path, even if those around you are all choosing a different path.
