I attended Mid-State in 2009 right after graduating high school, but was young and didn’t recognize the value of school at the time. I ended up dropping out of my classes and pursuing another path, working at a local restaurant downtown Stevens Point where my coworkers became my second family. I decided it was time to do something different with my life, and Mid-State, with its warm, welcoming staff, was the only place I could see myself continuing my education. Through my involvement on our Student Leadership Board, I have had the opportunity to connect with not only the Stevens Point Campus, but also with the other campuses in the district to experience the uniquely different atmosphere of each while at the same time being one college. My time with the college has been an incredible experience and I look forward to continuing my educational journey with Mid-State Technical College.
