When I first made the decision to go back to college and pursue my degree, my first choice was Nicolet College. I was familiar with Nicolet because of advertisements for continuing education that I would receive in the mail. Nicolet College has always had a reputation for high quality education in the Northwoods, so I felt confident in my choice. I solidified my choice in Nicolet College through the application and admissions process. From the initial application I was contacted by a Nicolet College representative, who assured me that the process was easy, making sure all my questions were answered, and I had the support I needed through that process. After that initial conversation, I was contacted by the program success coach and my academic advisor. She asked questions about my current life, what my work schedule looked like, what commitments I had and the discussion we had truly made me feel like I could go back to school, I could be successful as a later-in-life learner. As a second semester student, I am grateful for Nicolet College and the opportunities I have had thus far. I think I made the right choice when I chose Nicolet College because of its ties to the Northwoods and its reputation as one of the best colleges Wisconsin has to offer.
