Kwamesha Milsap, Nursing - Blackhawk Technical College

Image of StudentI chose Blackhawk because the college chose me. I feel this way each time I benefit from the free , writing labs, free transportation to the campus, supportive staff, flexible class schedules and access to life skills as well as academics. All of these resources have been advantageous in the pursuit of my nursing career. While I feel this is all for me, BTC is for anyone who wants to succeed.

Brandy Mouledoux, Pre-Program in Nursing - Chippewa Valley Technical College

Image of StudentCVTC was the right choice for me because I knew it would be an affordable education where I could earn a quality degree while raising my son. The support services and resources available to students are helpful as I work towards my nursing degree. As a Student Ambassador I have enhanced my interpersonal communication and coordination skills which will be valuable when working with patients. This education is opening doors to achieving my dreams.

With encouragement from an instructor to continue, I knew the college was for me. FVTC is willing to work and help any student succeed. Whether you’re undecided about college or which program to pursue, advisors and staff are ready to help. They helped me discover the Individual Technical Studies program, the right fit for me.

Image of StudentI first came to Gateway for all of the obvious reasons: location, smaller class sizes, affordability, scheduling flexibility and the vast number of programs that are offered. I stayed because of the supportive staff, leadership opportunities and substantial services to support students.

Image of StudentI was anxious about returning to school. I chose LTC for a number of reasons. I knew that I wouldn't get lost in the student body, that I could build comfortable relationships with my instructors, and that on-line offerings and being close to home meant that I could work full-time and earn my degree. LTC checked all the boxes and I couldn't be happier with my decision!

Andrew Allison, Automotive Technician - Madison Area Technical College

Image of StudentFrom as early as I can remember, I’ve had an intense desire to learn. My desire to learn mechanical and electrical systems inspired me to join the submarine community of the U. S. Navy. After I completed my service, I decided to use my GI Bill benefits and return to school. I had a decision to make: pursue math and engineering, or gain an applied knowledge of technical systems? I enrolled at Madison College because of my passion to learn modern automobile technology.

Vikram Gill, Business Management - Mid-State Technical College

Image of StudentI struggled in a four-year setting and was very happy to learn that Mid-State was able to work with me. I had heard great things about the college and after learning how affordable it was, I decided to enroll in the Business Management Program. I’ve been more successful than I imagined and have gotten involved in college life in a variety of ways.

Marissa Nicholson, Criminal Justice - Milwaukee Area Technical College

Image of StudentAs a military veteran, I wanted to make sure I enrolled in a college that would help me gain the technical skills I need in the field I am interested in.  My goal is to go into Forensic Science. I know the Criminal Justice program at MATC will help me attain this goal.

Barbara Turner, Leadership Development - Moraine Park Technical College

Image of StudentI chose Moraine Park Technical College for many reasons. One reason that has played a crucial role was that the degree is affordable. In addition, MPTC is close to my home, so it cuts back on travel costs. Further, MPTC’s staff is like a big family and I wanted to be part of that feeling. MPTC allows for all types of students to learn because of the diverse teaching techniques, personalized learning environment, and multitude of opportunities that can be explored!

Bess Corn, Early Childhood Education - Nicolet Area Technical College

Image of StudentI wanted to provide a better future for my family and I knew I wanted to work with children, so I chose to enroll in Nicolet’s Early Childhood Education Program. They made me feel like a person and not a number, they made me feel like my success is important. I love the small class sizes and feel we benefit at a high level because of that. I also saved money choosing Nicolet College and was drawn to the flexibility of our program because I am a single mom of two daughters and need the flexibility to be successful.

Kayley McColley, Nursing - Northcentral Technical College

Image of StudentI started at NTC while still in high school, taking dual credit courses and completing a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course. I had a great experience and was impressed with the number of credits I was able to earn, saving me more than $2,000 in tuition. NTC staff and faculty are helpful and committed to finding courses that fit your schedule. I love that NTC is affordable and close to home, keeping me connected to family and allowing me to work while in school.

Joseph Maier, Mechanical Design Technology - Northeast Wisconsin Technical College

Image of StudentNortheast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) is the school that helped me the most and set me on a career path that I truly enjoy and find fascinating. I bounced around to three different pre-engineering fields while attending UW-Madison. I did not find what I was looking for until I arrived at NWTC. Small class sizes, easy communication with instructors, and the ability to work in my field while attending school is exactly what I was looking for. NWTC offered it all.

Christina Hill, Culinary Arts - Southwest Wisconsin Technical College

Image of StudentSouthwest Tech was the best financial decision for my family. I was also impressed with and knew I would benefit from smaller class sizes. While I understood learning would be hands-on, I didn’t quite realize the extent of it. We are in the culinary lab every day, applying our learning. Everyone has been so helpful and pleasant, since the day I first inquired about the program.

Kelly Gonzales, Baking and Pastry Management - Waukesha County Technical College

Image of StudentWaukesha County Technical College has given me the opportunity to figure out where I belong. Being close to home and having affordable tuition allowed me to try out a few classes in different programs to help me figure out what I am really passionate about. I love that instructors can get to know me on a more personal level because of the small class sizes. I also really enjoy the hands-on learning that a technical college is able to provide.

Evan Whalen, Accounting - Western Technical College

Image of StudentAfter visiting campus and evaluating my required classes, I knew Western would provide me with the opportunities I wanted in pursuit of my career as an Accountant. Western is known for its student success rates after graduation, including four-year transfer options. Also, Western allows me to receive my education at a reasonable cost and La Crosse is a beautiful area, with abundant career opportunities. After carefully considering my college options, Western was the best choice for me.

Logan Smith, Architecture Commercial Design - Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College

Image of StudentI feel WITC is by far the best choice for me because of class sizes. I am easily able to speak one-on-one in class with my instructors, which offers a far more personal college experience.
