Barber Technologist Programs
Barber shops are back in style! Are you a resourceful people person who strives for attention to detail? If so, a rewarding career in barbering may be for you!
Our Barber Technologist program trains you in the techniques you need to thrive in barbering. In this part-time, evening program, you receive hands-on learning and personal attention from experienced faculty. Learn traditional and modern cutting and styling, safe use of common barber shop chemicals, and professional shaving techniques.
Classes are delivered through a combination of face-to-face and online lessons. Students refine their skills at the on-campus salon and similar hands-on opportunities. This program meets the Wisconsin state barbering requirement of 1,000 hours of training.
In addition to self-employment opportunities, graduates can find employment in traditional barbershops and barbering salons, as well as barbering retail/wholesale suppliers.
