Wisconsin Technical College Forestry Equipment Maintenance Programs

This certificate prepares you to work in the forest industry by building basic skills to repair and maintain forestry equipment. You will gain basic knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical components used with forestry equipment. You’ll also learn the theory of fluid power, DC electricity, and CAN BUS control systems, plus be introduced to diagnostics and repair of equipment components. You’ll also become familiar with a workshop environment and have an opportunity to visit local forestry dealers and logging contractors. Upon completing the certificate, you’ll have the skills needed for entry-level positions in forestry, working in dealer workshops and maintaining logging contractor equipment.
