Machine Tool Technician (Precision Machinist) Programs

This program will give students the technical knowledge needed for an entry-level job in the machine tool industry as a machine operator, Computer Numerical Control (CNC) operator, apprentice in a maintenance shop, machine shop, or tool and die shop. Students will plan the sequence of operations needed to successfully complete the process of material removal, read and interpret blueprints, and use hand tools and precision measuring tools. Students will work on both manual and computer-controlled machines.
