Find your future in the manufacturing industry, in the fast-growing field of Industrial Mechanics. CVTC’s Mechatronics Specialist program will prepare you to install, maintain, operate, diagnose, and repair automated equipment used in manufacturing industries and maintain facilities/buildings with automated systems used to create the products we use every day.

You will learn cutting-edge technologies in this program and gain the following skills:

  • Mechanical equipment installation, disassembly, and assembly
  • Electrical control, motor drives and PLC (programmable logic controllers) wiring, installation and troubleshooting
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic installation and troubleshooting
  • Laser shaft alignment
  • Conveyance systems
  • Machine tool
  • Preventative maintenance
  • Process pumping and piping and systems
  • Industrial Manufacturing machine troubleshooting
  • Process control systems
  • Building maintenance
  • Welding 

This training will help prepare you for supervisory positions in the industry including lead technician and maintenance manager. This program offers a part-time option and an evening program.

If you decide to pursue further education, your credits will transfer to UW-Stout’s Business Management, Human Resource Management, Operations Management, or Quality Management programs.
