The Purchasing Agent/Buyer Certificate is designed for learners entering the procurement field or those already working in the field that want to further develop their skills. Learners will acquire the skills and tools necessary in selecting and evaluating suppliers, creating and maintaining supplier relationships, negotiating prices to minimize costs and improve on time delivery while providing high levels of customer service. Equips the learner in improving efficiency and effectiveness in the areas of procurement and Supply Chain processes, managing inventory levels and utilizing ERP systems. The Purchasing Agent/Buyer certificate fully ladders into NTC’s Supply Chain Management Associate Degree program.
