WTCS President Foy Statement on Appointment of Interim UW System President

MADISON, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin (UW) System Board of Regents today announced that former Governor Tommy G. Thompson will serve as the System's Interim President.

Statement from Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) President Dr. Morna K. Foy:

“Tommy Thompson is a terrific champion for UW System and for higher education partnerships. Throughout my career, I've witnessed Tommy build effective coalitions around shared objectives at the state and federal levels," Foy said.

"I'm looking forward to working with him, the Legislature and the Governor to meet the challenges facing public higher education, and to put the power of the Wisconsin Technical College System and UW System to work creating economic opportunities for all.”
