For the person who enjoys working with large equipment in a shop setting, the Diesel and Heavy Equipment Technician Assistant technical diploma combines knowledge of truck and heavy equipment repair, shop safety and industry practices, diesel engine components, fundamentals of electrical systems, transportation welding, and use of online service information. Graduates of this program work in truck and heavy equipment repair shops and are able to assist experienced technicians and perform basic entry level tasks and repairs.
