The EMT-Firefighter Embedded Technical Diploma program is designed for a person seeking a position in a local fire department, hospital emergency department, or ambulance service.

Learners will focus on developing skills and knowledge necessary to assess and provide basic emergency care for those experiencing life-threatening injury or illness, and transport from the scene to medical facilities. Learners will also understand basic fire behavior, techniques used to control structural and related fire emergencies, life safety practices and will examine characteristics relating to hazardous materials - including problems of recognition and mitigation.

As an Embedded Technical Diploma, this program ladders fully into the Fire Science Technical Diploma program.
