Permaculture

Wisconsin Technical College Permaculture Design Programs

Permaculture draws from several different disciplines including organic farming, agroforestry, sustainable community development, alternative/natural building and applied ecology. This course will teach participants techniques to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and will increase the long-term sustainability of their homes and communities. Students will learn ecological principles needed to capture storm water, reduce chemical use, save labor and materials, and integrate organic food production into urban landscapes. This course involves a combination of lecture, online videos/webinars, hand-on activities, and field trips.
